About

I am a life-long dish lover. My new passion is table-scaping. I love to “decorate” my table. To feed my passion you will find me at yard sales and thrift shops. The thrill of the hunt really is a great deal of the fun in finding a bargain and a new dish.

I also love to find new “dishes” to create in my kitchen. I don’t like complicated recipes or those with ingredients I have to travel beyond my regular grocery store to purchase.  Simple and tasty dishes are my favorites.

My dream is to one day merge these passions and actually serve meals at these tablescapes. Here’s to dreams!

I hope you will join me in my adventures as I search for dishes I love.

    Hi Tammy,

I viewed your tablescape for the second time today. Where do I start? I love everything on this table!! I especially love the Dansk salad plates; they may be my favorite. Congratulations on getting the bee glasses on sale. I have been wanting some of those for a while myself. I love to find bargains as well; in this economy it really makes the most sense. Your cosmos cake pedestal is so pretty and unique. Cosmos is one of my favorite flowers. Here in North Carolina, the Department of Transportation used to plant them along the roadsides of major highways and interstates, along with other wildflowers such as poppies. The cosmos really makes such a pretty show. With all the budget cuts, I don’t know if the state will continue to do this or not.

I also LOVE your embroidered, monogrammed napkins. They are beautiful. I want to thank you for visiting my blog and leaving those kind comments. Now, for the big question — do you really have Scottie pups? Ours is MacDuff and he is actually a Wheaten colored Scottie. He is eleven yrs. old, and what a character. He’s the third Scottie I’ve had in my lifetime, and the second for my husband and I. I think at this point, we’re just confirmed Scottie people. They have a way of really growing on you.

Thanks again for the visit, and have a great weekend.

Tammy, oh my goodness you have an impressive collection and I’m finding it hard to stop looking. it’s like I’m shopping right here on your blog! i adore looking for dishes too, but am not nearly as talented in finding them as you are. Currently I’m just collecting single bone china dinner plates, not place settings. It’s a challenge, I don’t find china in non-place setting groups often. But then again, I don’t look very often either. Thank you for dropping by my blog to leave a sweet comment and I’m so happy to meet you and your lovely blog 🙂

OMG…a kindred soul…..I have been a dish lover all the day I can remember ( and that is quite a few let me tell ya). I have searched antique shops, yard sale, used places like forever. My house is stuffed with gorgeous pieces and I treasure every and every one. I to love tablescapes AND~~~it is my passion also. Haven’t looked through all your blog but have seen enough to know I will follow it forever. Do keep adding glorious photos and share your finds. It is very enjoyable to see how others are doing at finding great china treasures……..Char ❤

Ball jars are always a good find! I haven’t gone to many yard sales laltey- too busy. I really need to get out again- I’m running low on stock and I want to take a booth at a big sale in Sept. I know your pain on losing something as simple as an earring. I left one in the motel last week and could have kicked myself for being so careless. Maybe my earring and yours will meet up in lost earring heaven. LOL
