Roosters Come Out to Play

It’s time for Sheila at Note Songs’, Heart of the Home Party – Roosters and Chickens – and my roosters wanted to join the party. I am sharing some photos of two rooster-themed tablescapes I set BB (Before Blog).

The first table was set with rooster plates I found at a thrift shop. I really love the roped effect on the plate edges.

My good old blue napkins are pressed into service once again as are the blue goblets from Fortessa. This little rooster is singing his heart out to all who will listen.

The centerpiece was simple. I used a wooden vase filled with sunflowers, Momma Hen and her chicks, and the proud rooster and his mobile friend along with some thrifted iron candle stands.

Here is a closer look at Momma Hen and her sweet chicks. She flew into my cart one day while I was shopping at Home Goods. Her vintage look was something I could not leave behind.

And here is a closer look at the mobile rooster. I was fortunate to find him for a song at a yard sale.

This next table was set using some rooster plates I found at Marshalls. I love the bright colors in these square dishes.

I used a thrift store red dinner plate to anchor the rooster dinner plate on the blue placemat. To add a little interest I added a sunflower bowl from Cracker Barrel.

I used the glasses my mother-in-law gifted me one birthday as well as the generous coffee mug which matches the rooster design.

There are those workhorse blue napkins again!

Do you want a closer look at the rooster plate so you can read its message?

I believe this rooster is welcoming you to the day with a multi-lingual good morning call.

In addition to Sheila’s Heart of the Home party, I also plan to join Susan’s Tablescape Thursday at Between Naps on the Porch.
