I wanted to change up the table a little bit for this week still using some of my beachy items. I have this china which always makes me think of a yacht when I see it. Not that I’ve been on many yachts (if any) or know what china they might use. It’s the rope-like edge design which puts me in mind of something nautical.
This china was a great buy at one of my favorite outlets, Fortessa. They have sales several times each year where they open up their warehouse section. I have taken advantage of these sales on more than one occasion.
I used the rattan chargers to give a more relaxed and organic feel.
I am once again using my blue workhorse napkins. They are placed under fish-shaped dishes that were thrifted.
The blue goblet and Boopie glasses round out the place setting.
I carefully unwrapped the large sand dollars my daughter brought me from the beach and added them to the smaller sand dollars and starfish.
To add to the beach feel, I included two lanterns and placed them on star decorated dishes.
The centerpiece is a thrifted platter on which I have placed the Pyrex baby bottles I found at a recent yard sale. Lacking any nautical flags, I used good ol’ American flags to display. I never tire of seeing them.
I hope you enjoyed this peek at my Hint of Nautical tablescape.

Love how this table turned out. The fish plates are very cute but the plates with the ‘rope’ edge sets the theme perfectly. Love those Pyrex baby bottles! This makes me yearn for the beach.
Love this nautical theme. I think those rattan chargers are perfect and the flags inside the baby bottles is so creative.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend.
I love a nautical theme. My favorite part is the plate with the rope-ish rim. I agree that it looks like something on a yacht. (Never been on one either.)
I love the beach theme and the relaxed feel, Tammy and I love your lanterns…Christine

Wonderful nautical table Tammy. I love those fish plates!
Oh, yeah, baby…that china definitely says YACHT!!! Push pause on that scene from “Titanic” when they’re in the dining room on that one night and look at those dishes. Or look when the dishes all come crashing to the floor when the water somes rushing in. Your china definitely says yacht AND fancy cruise ship AND Thurston Howell, III! 🙂 It’s beautiful, and I love it! You did a great job with this table, Tammy!!!
Thanks for visiting me! Love the flags as a centerpiece. I will have to try that. Beautiful table

hi Tammy, love your nautical table, I have similar fish plates, but I haven’t used them, your ‘scape makes me want to go pull them out! The centerpiece looks so cute with the nautical flags–you can’t go wrong there–and the china with the rattan charger definitely makes me feel as if we’re sailin’ on the high seas in style! Great post! Also, can’t stop by without saying how much I love all your ‘great finds!’ Thanks for visiting with me!!
