I had just had a conversation with a co-worker who wanted to tag along with me to the local thrift store one day at lunch. It put me in the mood to make a stop there, although it doesn’t take much to do that. I rounded the corner into the back room and this was sitting front and center.
A giant Snoopy with a bag of Woodstocks on his way to make deliveries for Christmas. He is encased in a giant plastic dome. According to the box, it lights up and snows, too.
Now here is the conundrum: my co-worker loves Snoopy as do I. If she had accompanied me, would we have had a wrestling match over this Snoopy globe? Quite possibly. I may use this to decorate my work area during the holidays so then we will both be able to enjoy it.
I lugged Snoopy back to the other room where I found these two beauties.
They are from the Winter Greetings series by Lenox. These mugs feature the Cedar Waxwing and the Dark-eyed Junko.
On Friday I had taken a vacation day to have some heavy things hauled away from the house. I can highly recommend 123Junk as they did an excellent job. I noticed earlier in the week that there were three yard sales advertised for Friday. I could hardly contain my excitement. We rarely have yard sales on Friday around here and all three of these were in my small town! After the guys hauled away some junk, I went in search of more.
The first sale was called an estate sale. I don’t have much luck at these and this one was no different. The first yard sale wasn’t much either. Lucky for me, the third one was the charm. I did the Snoopy dance of joy and you will see why.
This is a jack-in-the box Snoopy. Be still my heart. You can see that he was well loved; he needs a little clean up but he still works just fine.
There was also a table full of Hallmark Snoopy ornaments, in their boxes. I took my time picking out just a few to bring home.
Later that day when my husband got home and I told him about the table full of ornaments (most of which I had left behind), he encouraged me to return to the sale. What a guy! We hopped in the car and headed back to the sale just across town. Almost all of the ornaments were still there! I loaded up my box with Snoopy ornaments and a few Star Wars, too.
Who can resist this sweet character? Not me.
I ended up paying almost peanuts for Peanuts. It was a great day!

Wow, amazing to find all those Snoopy goodies all at once. My favorite is the jack-in-the-box, I haven’t seen one of those in so many years. Your husband is a gem to encourage you to go back and scoop up the rest of them.
What great finds. I have a very soft spot for Snoopy! I love Hallmark ornaments and if you found them for ‘peanuts’ then you did great!
Cute Snoopy things..maybe you can wrap one up and give it to your friend…:))

What a lucky girl you are! Now you might have something else Snoopy to share with the coworker and keep the great globed one for yourself, no guilt.
